ONE IN GROUP

GROUPS – Small, Medium, Large

COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

GROUPS is a type of competition in which group choreographies compete against each other. Every year, tens of thousands of competitors participate. Choreographies are divided into various disciplines according to the type of movement, into age categories, and into three performance levels. Each group must consist of at least four dancers. GROUPS competitions may be non-qualifying or qualifying. The qualifying competitions usually culminate at the end of May or the beginning of June.

LEVEL OF COMPETITORS

The GROUPS competition is divided into Hobby, Advanced and Profi according to performance level.

PERFORMANCE LENGTH

The required performance length can be found in the table TORIN = Table of Rules in Numbers.

AGE CATEGORY CLASSIFICATION

Teams are placed into age categories according to the average age of the group. The decisive factor is the age on the day of the competition (individual members may be younger or older).

WHAT A CHOREOGRAPHY MAY AND MAY NOT CONTAIN

  • The use of all available movement styles is permitted.
  • Various props meeting safety criteria are permitted.
  • Music speed is without limitation.
  • It is recommended that the theme, costume and music are consistent.
  • The theme, costume and music must be appropriate for the given age.

COMPETITION O POHÁR – SOLO, DUO, TRIO

COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

O POHÁR competitions are intended for individuals, duos and trios. The competition is open to all children, including those who are not members of any sports club, as well as those who dance at a professional level. O POHÁR competitions are divided according to performance level, age category and discipline (dance style). It is welcomed when children create their own choreographies.

O POHÁR competitions may be qualifying or non-qualifying. Qualification rounds take place from the beginning of October until the beginning of May, with the final usually held at the end of May.

Individuals are classified according to their age on the day of the competition. Duos and trios are classified according to the average age on the day of the competition.

ONE IN GROUP

COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

Competitors do not have a pre-prepared performance. They exercise or dance according to the instructor and try to imitate the routine demonstrated by the instructor as accurately as possible. Within ONE IN GROUP, competitors compete in aerobic, contemporary and street dance.

LEVEL OF COMPETITORS

The ONE IN GROUP competition is divided into Hobby, Advanced and Profi.

Competitors are classified according to their age on the day of the competition.
